Mary handles interior design and project management atMadge Megliola Interior design. An Air Force brat,Mary Elizabeth’s frequent childhood relocation enabled her to incorporate her early love of interior design with awareness of how culture, climate, geographical location, religion, and history affect architecture and design. Her first job after earning a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Florida was with Kathy IrelandWorldwide, where she designed a 40,000-sq-ft showroom. Later, upon marriage and a move to NC, she co-founded an Internet home furnishings and decor retail company, which she ran for five years before joiningMadgeMegliola. In the meantime, she also started a non-profit organization, the Serventrepreneur Foundation.
Amy has been in the design business since 1987. Her business started out of her home and this year projects a 50% growth over last year. As a small business owner and President ofWindowWorks Studio, it's impressive that Amy also serves as a leader in her church and community.With her church, Amy has completed mission trips to the Dominican Republic and is a member of the music ministry.
Anne parlayed her business administration degree from UNCG into a thriving insurance agency seventeen years ago.She built her State Farm agency upon the charge to provide personalized, caring advice and service to insurance and financial services clients. That commitment has brought her numerous professional accolades, including the Circle of Excellence Award for Customer Service from the GreensboroMerchants Association. Anne is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. She is a Board member for the GreensboroMerchants Association. A volunteer and community leader, Anne supports the American Heart Association, ALS Society, and Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, among other charities.
Lisa Hazlett, with the show name Lisa Dames, has been professionally performing since 2006. She manages a staff of 6 people including a four piece band, producerand booking/publicist agent. In 2006 she scored a top 40 song on country radio. This song
and many others were on an album which was distributed byWal-Mart. She has openedup shows for some of the big names in country music including CraigMorgan, JohnMichaelMontgomery, Jamie O’Neal and LoriMcKenna. She has a reputation for being a “go to” person for anything from fundraising to job opportunities.
Sherry is joining WPF's financial sector and holds the designated CPA, CFP and,MBA certifications and degree. She is employed with Stearns Financial Services Group as the lead manager for the financial planning department. In her spare time, Sherry is involved with her church, chairing various events such as the AnnualWomen's Retreat, served as aMOPS craft coordinator. She has been a small group facilitator. She served for eight years as the pianist for the children's choir.
Amy started her business in sewing and design to retail and wholesale
customers in 2000. In 2009 she merged with another company and createdWindow
Works Studio, Inc. where she serves as vice president. She has been a business owner for 11 years as well as a wife and mother. Before she entered the design business she was aregistered nurse. Amy lives in Jamestown and enjoys making a positive difference in her
community.
Kathleen moved to Greensboro from the
Washington, DC, area in 2004. Since then she has worked in the economic
development area first with the Greensboro Partnership and
now with the North Carolina Center for Global Logistics. As Operations
Manager of the NCCGL, Kathleen is responsible for providing industry
expertise in transportation, logistics, and supply chain management to
support economic development in a twelve county region. Kathleen
holds aMA in Public Affairs from UNC-G and a BS in History from
Towson University. Outside of her career, she has been very involved
with the Piedmont Triad Chapter of the American Society of Public
Administration serving as its President in 2010, the Greensboro/High
Point/Guilford CountyWorkforce Development Board, and the Guilford
Merchants Association.
Jane moved to North Carolina from the “North” two anda half years ago to assume the position of Vice President –Merchandising with Thomasville Furniture. As a member of their senior management team,Jane is responsible for identifying product needs, developing new products, andmarketing products to dealers. Jane has been involved in the furniture industry for over twenty years. She is on the board of her neighborhood association and is wanting to become more active doing charitable work and supporting locally owned businesses in her adopted community. Jane is the mother of twin daughters who are in college.
If you don't know Anne by face or name, you probably know her by her holiday tradition. Anne and her husband created the annual Christmas Ball scene in the Sunset Hills neighborhood.When she is not making the light balls, serving on two non profit boards, or co-chairing theWalk to End Alzheimer, she is working as Partner, CCO and CFO at Jonathan Smith and Company. There she helps people across a wide range of ages, life stages and circumstances solve problems and achieve sustainable financial stability and success.
Debra arrived in Greensboro via Detroit and Pittsburgh. After twenty plus years in the technology/computer sales business and leaving her custom built home of eleven years that she and her brothers designed and was selected for the AIA (American Institute of Architects) home tour in 1993 in Detroit she got married and moved to Pittsburgh. Her true passion is in design. Debra always loved Baker furniture. With her move to Pittsburgh came an opportunity to manage a Baker showroom. Due to her outstanding performance Baker offered her a position in High Point. Now in Greensboro, Debra is the ShowroomManger for Baker and manages a 2.5 million sales goal and hosts the twice yearly market. Her career never has a dull moment and there is not time to be bored.
Susan is a mentor and coach by day and student by night. At NorthwesternMutual she focuses on the development of financial representatives with less than five years of experience to help them build a successful career. At night, she attends college part time to earn a BA inWomen's Gender Studies. In addition, Susan volunteers with UnitedWay'sWomen's Leadership Committee and serves as a Facilitator at theWomen's Resource Center.
